Peter had finally arrived at Howgarts for his third year, and was fairly excited. Of course, he loved the outdoors, so that was the first place he headed after he was finished unpacking his materials in his dorm. As he slowly descended down the large stairs and onto the lush green grass of the grounds of Hogwarts, he felt a cool breeze blowing. It was quite refreshing, though, as it whipped his messy hair about. His dark brown eyes scanned the grounds, and he saw not many other students. He decided to go for a walk by the lake. It was time to get his mind cleared and get prepared for another long year at Hogwarts.
Peter made his way toward the edge of the lake and stared into it, his mind wandering off to the thoughts of the many creatures that lived in the waters depths. He had gone swimming in the lake in his previous year, but had not found anything interesting, which was rather strange. He sighed as he kicked a small pebble and it plopped into the lake with barely a sound. He continued on moving, though, along the edge of the lake, but kept his eyes toward the ground

Celia had gotten her first letter from her parents since she had arrived at Hogwarts. It made her so happy, but it made her a little sad at the same time. When she was sad, there was only one thing to do: go outside. Being outside made her feel so happy. Celia grabbed her letter and headed outside to the lake. As soon as she got there, she realized that there was someone already there. She decided to wait to open her letter and start a conversation with him. "Hello!"

Peter had not even known there was another person about. When he heard a voice, he spun around immediately, "Oh.. hello," He began, smiling at the girl. He thought she semed slightly familiar, as if he had seen her once or twice around the school, but never really talked to her, so he didn't know her name, either. It obviously seemed she wanted to start a conversation, so Peter thought it would be good to inroduce himself at about this time, "I'm Peter.." He added.

Celia smiled and continued walking until she was next to Peter. She tucked her letter into her bag for safekeeping. "Hi, Peter! It's nice to meet you! I'm Celia." She looked down at the lake. She loved the way water looked. "It's so pretty, isn't it?" She kenw that coming outside would make her feel better; it always did. "So, what house are you in?"

Peter continued walking as she walked alongside himself. He noticed her tucking some letter type thing into a bag she had with her, but didn't think much of it, "Nice to meet you, as well, Celia," He replied, still smiling. Peter looked down into the lake when she did, and nodded, "Yep.." He replied with a grin. When she asked what house he was in, he tore his dark brown eyes away from the lake and looked a Celia, "Gryffindor," He replied simply, "And yourself?" He asked her.

Celia grinned broadly. "I'm in Hufflepuff!" She was so proud of her house. She knew that most people saw the Hufflepuffs as idiots who didn't know anything and there were just in Hufflepuff because they didn't fit into any of the other houses. She slowly sat down, hoping that he would follow her. "So what brought you out here?"

Peter grinned. He could tell that she was quite proud to be in the house of Hufflepuff. He was quite proud himself, for being in the house of Gryffindor. He always thought of that house as brave and daring. When he noticed her sit down, he decided to sit, as well. He slowly sunk down to the ground to sit next to her. He shrugged at her question, "Well.. I don't know, really," He replied, "I guess I've always loved going outside.. And so I figured this was a nice time to do so," He added, "And you?" He asked her.

Celia nodded and looked out to the lake. "I love being outside." She smiled and turned to look back at Peter. "It makes me happy!" She laughed at herself, for she felt a little silly saying it in that way, even though it was true. She looked down at her bag and pulled out her letter from home that she hadn't opened yet. She looked at it, then looked back to Peter. "I got a letter from home. Whenever I get a letter from home, it's sort of a sweet and sour moment because I'm happy to hear from them, but it makes me a little homesick. So, I came out here to cheer myself up."

Peter nodded, agreeing with her, "Yeah, it seems to be a good way to get your mind off things," He replied, grinning. He watched as she pulled soemthing out of her bag. It had been the same thing he had seen her put into her bag. His frowned faltered slightly when she explained that the letter was from home. His parents basically hated him, although they still allowed him home. He, of course, never got letter from his two muggle parents, "Oh.." He began. He tried to keep the dissapointment out of his voice, but it didn't seem to work, "That's.. nice," He added.

Celia, of course, hadn't noticed that what she had said upset Peter. She did realize, however, that Peter was sounding uncomfortable from what she had said. She guessed that it must have been the letter, for some reason. She swallowed and put her letter back into her bag. "It's not that big of a deal." When he didn't say anything after that, she decided to change the subject. "So. What do you like to do?"

Peter watched Celia carefully as she put her letter back into her bag. He shook his head, ruffling his dark hair and making it fall into his eyes, which he hastily wiped away. He was quite glad when she changed the subject. Every time he thought about parents, it always made him feel bad. He thought for a moment at her next question, and forced a smile, "Well.." He began with thought, "I do enjoy Quidditch.." He replied, "And being outdoors.. It seems to get my mind off things," He added, looking at Celia "What about you?" He asked her.

Celia was from a country very far away from most of the other countries. She only knew what was native to her country and her country alone, everything else was incredibly foreign to her. Since she had started coming to Hogwarts, she had learned a little about Quidditch, but she never really understood it. She shrugged. "Well, not so much." She blushed a little bit. "I find it a little confusing."
